Objective: To investigate the time course and findings severity of COVID-19 infection at chest radiography based on a 6-point radiological score, correlates these with patients’ age gender. Methods: This is retrospective study patients who were admitted European Gaza Hospital evaluated between October 6, 2020, November 30, 2020. Baseline serial radiographs, up to 4 images per patient, reviewed ...
We performed a high resolution study of $0^{+}$ states in $^{134}$Ba using the $^{136}$Ba($p,t$) two-neutron transfer reaction. Our experiment shows significant portion $L = 0$ pair-transfer strength concentrated at excited $0^+$ levels $^{134}$Ba. Potential implications context $^{136}$Xe $\to$ $^{136}$Ba neutrinoless double beta decay matrix element calculations are briefly discussed.
Pleiotrophin (PTN) is a 136-amino acid secreted heparin-binding protein that is considered as a rate-limiting growth and an angiogenic factor in the onset, invasion, and metastatic process of many tumors. Its mitogenic and tumorigenic activities are mediated by the COOH-terminal residues 111 to 136 of PTN, allowing it to bind to cell surface tyrosine kinase-linked receptors. We investigated a n...

BACKGROUND Recent studies have linked chemotherapy resistance to the altered expression of microRNAs (miRNAs). Thus, miRNA-based approaches to modulating sensitivity to temozolomide (TMZ) may overcome chemoresistance. The aim of the present study was to investigate whether miR-136 could modulates glioma cell sensitivity to TMZ. METHODS The proliferation of glioma U251 cell line was evaluated ...
The importance of individual amino acids in mediating the broad-spectrum bactericidal action of a 20-mer amphipathic, cationic peptide (CG 117-136) of human lysosomal cathepsin G was determined by using a single amino acid replacement strategy. This strategy revealed an important role for arginine because loss of any of the four arginine residues in CG 117-136 due to substitution with alanine, ...
