The thermal glueball is studied at finite temperature by using SU(3) anisotropic lattice QCD with βlat = 6.25, the renormalized anisotropy ξ ≡ as/at = 4 over the lattice of the size 20 × Nt with various Nt at the quenched level. We calculate the supersymmetric QCD correction to top-quark production at the Fermilab Tevatron, allowing for arbitrary left-right mixing of the squarks. We find that the correction is significant for several combinations of gluino and squark masses, e.g. +33% for m g̃ = 200 GeV, m t̃ = m q̃ = 75 GeV.

We review the recent advances in the calculation of the forces between hadron using lattice QCD. Particular attention is payed to the case of nuclear forces. The issues facing this project and some of the ideas put forward to solve them are briefly discussed.

The in-medium modifications of hadron properties are briefly discussed. We restrict the discussion to the lattice QCD calculations for the hadron masses, screening masses, decay constants and wave functions. We review the progress made so far and describe how to broaden its horizon.

We show that, under a reasonable " smoothness " hypothesis, it is possible to extract informations on the amplitude and phase of two-body non-leptonic weak decay matrix elements from the study of Euclidean correlation functions in lattice QCD.

Significant progress has been made since 1996 in the determination of the light quark masses from both lattice QCD (LQCD) and QCD sumrules (SR). The evolution in time of the ranges quoted by the Particle Data Group and our best estimates as of DPF2000 are given below. We report on some attempts to use lattice QCD to investigate topics in strong interaction phenomenology which are usually interpreted in terms of soft Pomeron exchange.
