Experiments with circular cylinders in high-speed flow reveal new universal behavior associated coherent oscillations the near-wake region. The Strouhal number shows invariance respect to both Reynolds and Mach number. Further, disturbances top bottom halves of wake have an anti-symmetric relationship.
