Sn–O nanoparticles were prepared by levitation-jet aerosol synthesis and found to exhibit ferromagnetic behavior. X-ray powder diffraction analysis 119Sn Mössbauer spectroscopy confirmed these consist of β-Sn, SnO SnO2 phases. The maximum specific magnetization was observed for containing the SnO/SnO2 interface.
3D annealed SnO2/graphene sheet foams (ASGFs) are synthesized by in situ self-assembly of graphene sheets prepared by mild chemical reduction. L-ascorbyl acid is used to effectively reduce the SnO2 nanoparticles/graphene oxide colloidal solution and form the 3D conductive graphene networks. The annealing treatment contributes to the formation of the Sn-O-C bonds between the SnO2 nanoparticles a...
sno nanoparticles were synthesized using microwave–assisted hydrothermal method. it was noticed that at 300 and 600 watt microwave power, sno formed and remained in the tetragonal phase. at 900 watt, sno2 started appearing and a mixture of sno and sno2 phases coexisted. the particle size varied from ~2 to ~13 nm at 300 to 900 watt radiation power. the uv-v absorption spectra showed the excitoni...
Acetylene (C2H2) gas sensors were developed by synthesizing a reduced graphene oxide (rGO)-loaded SnO2 hybrid nanocomposite via a facile two-step hydrothermal method. Morphological characterizations showed the formation of well-dispersed SnO2 nanoparticles loaded on the rGO sheets with excellent transparency and obvious fold boundary. Structural analysis revealed good agreement with the standar...

Introduction of the nanoparticles in the bulk glass received a large interest due to their versatile application. The composition of Er+3-doped Zinc-Lead-Phosphate glass samples are prepared by melt-quenching technique. The structural and optical properties of phosphate glass have been examined by x-ray diffraction, fie...
A generalized hydrothermal strategy for fabricating three-dimensional (3D) battery electrodes is presented. The hydrothermal growth deposits electrochemically active nanomaterials uniformly throughout the complex 3D mesostructure of the scaffold. Ni inverse opals coated with SnO2 nanoparticles or Co3O4 nanoplatelets, and SiO2 inverse opals coated with Fe3O4 are fabricated, all of which show att...
Highly dispersed ternary Ag/C/SnO2 hollow spheres have been synthesized for hydrazine electro-oxidation. The sharp XRD peak of Ag shows that nanoparticles good crystallinity. SEM maintained a spherical morphology with the diameter about 300 nm. TEM average 10 nm disperse well on C/SnO2. advantages derived from C/SnO2 support including carbon, SnO2 and structures may facilitate dispersion close ...
The ultrasonic-aided co-precipitation method was used to create SnO2-TiO2 nanocomposite particles. Scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR), and UV-vis were characterize the XRD patterns revealed crystalline structure of particles average particle size determined by Debye Scherrer’s equation found be 11.355, 4.9577, 4.333 nm fo...
Electrooxidation of methanol, ethanol, and formic acid was studied on three platinum-containing electrocatalysts: PtCu/C, Pt/(SnO2/C), Pt/C, Pt content being about 20 wt%. In all reactions, the integral specific activity catalysts, estimated from results cyclic voltammetry, grows in Pt/C < Pt/(SnO2/C) PtCu/C row. The influence reagent nature subjected to electrooxidation is manifested both d...
