We investigated the production of neutralino pairs via photon-photon collisions in the minimal supersymmetric model(MSSM) at future linear colliders. The numerical analysis of their production rates is carried out in the mSUGRA scenario. The results show that this cross section can reach about 18 femto barn for χ̃1χ̃ 0 2 pair production and 9 femto barn for χ̃2χ̃ 0 2 pair production with our chosen...

background : in spite of clinically useful photon and electron beams, high energy linacs produce secondary particles such as neutrons (photo-neutron production). neutrons have important roles during treatment with high energy photons in terms of protection and dose escalation. in this project, neutron dose equivalent of 18 mv varian accelerators is calculated by tld600 and tld700. materials and...

The production of final state photons in deep inelastic scattering originates from photon radiation off leptons or quarks involved in the scattering process. Photon radiation off quarks involves a contribution from the quark-to-photon fragmentation function, corresponding to the non-perturbative transition of a hadronic jet into a single, highly energetic photon accompanied by some limited hadr...

We study the production and leptonic decay of charginos in collisions of polarized photon beams including the complete spin correlations. The photons can be generated by Compton backscattering of polarized laser pulses off a polarized electron beam. Since the production process is determined alone by the electromagnetic coupling of the charginos this process allows to study their decay dynamics...

If in a supersymmetric model, the lightest chargino is nearly degenerate with the lightest neutralino, the former can decay into the latter alongwith a soft pion (or a lepton-neutrino pair). Near degeneracy of the chargino and neutralino masses can cause the other decay products (the pion or the lepton) to be almost invisible. Photon-photon colliders offer a possibility of clean detection of su...

∗Heisenberg-Fellow hadronic fluctuations (“resolved”). Direct and resolved interactions can be separated by measuring the fraction xγ of the photon’s momentum participating in the hard interaction for the two photons. In γγ interactions they are labelled xγ for the two photons. Ideally, the direct γγ events with two bare photons are expected to have xγ = 1 and x − γ = 1, whereas for double-reso...

During the past two years different analyses [1,2,3,4] of jet and di-jet production from real photons scattering at LEP have been presented. A unique computation it is available in the literature [5,6] at NLO for this process. This computation is based on the slicing method to cancel analytically virtual and infrared divergences. This technique relies on an approximate treatment of the phase sp...

The conference Photon 2009 on the structure and the interactions of the photon included sessions on photon-photon collisions and a future high-energy photon linear collider. This summary of theoretical contributions to the conference therefore has two parts. I will discuss the physics potential of photon colliders with an emphasis on the study of electroweak physics and the search for physics b...
