In this paper, we propose a novel acoustic echo suppression (AES) technique based on soft decision in a frequency domain. The proposed approach provides an ef cient and uni ed framework for such procedures as AES gain computation, AES gain modi cation using soft decision, and estimation of relevant parameters based on the same statistical model assumption of the near-end and far-end signal inst...

This paper proposes a two-dimensional (2-D) VLSI architecture using a uni ed systolic array for fast computation of the discrete cosine transform/discrete sine transform/discrete Hartley transform (DCT/DST/DHT). The N -point discrete transform is decomposed into evenand oddnumbered frequency samples and they are computed independently at the same time. The proposed uni ed systolic array archite...

Coupled magneto-mechanical wrinkling has appeared in many scenarios of engineering and biology. Hence, soft magneto-active (SMA) plates buckle when subject to critical uniform magnetic field normal their wide surface. Here, we provide a systematic analysis the SMA an in-plane mechanical load transverse field?. We consider two loading modes: plane-strain uni-axial loading, models magneto-sensiti...

in this paper, we aresupposed to introduce the definitions of n-fold commutative, andimplicative hyper k-ideals. these definitions are thegeneralizations of the definitions of commutative, andimplicative hyper k-ideals, respectively, which have been definedin [12]. then we obtain some related results. in particular wedetermine the relationships between n-fold implicative hyperk-ideal and n-fold...

This article investigates the codimension of commutator spaces [I, B(H)] of operator ideals on a separable Hilbert space, i.e., “How many traces can an ideal support?” We conjecture that the codimension can be only zero, one, or infinity. Using the arithmetic mean (am) operations on ideals introduced in [13] and the analogous arithmetic mean operations at infinity (am-∞) that we develop extensi...

We investigate reliable multicast communication over satellite networks. We compare a scenario where receivers can use a feedback channel to signal loss to a scenario where no feedback channel is available. We show that the introduction of a feedback channel is the key to allow for bandwidth-eecient, robust, and fully reliable multicast communication via satellite.

We argue that Kantor and Kardar’s assertion that their simulation results contradict our criterion for the localization of a softly constrained ideal polymer is incorrect. Our criterion is inapplicable to the model used in these simulations. We argue that our criterion for localization of as polymer with internal constraints strongly suggests that the models with soft and hard constraints belon...

The object of the investigation is to study reducible $M$-ideals in Banach spaces. It is shown that if the number of $M$-ideals in a Banach space $X$ is $n(<infty)$, then the number of reducible $M$-ideals does not exceed of $frac{(n-2)(n-3)}{2}$. Moreover, given a compact metric space $X$, we obtain a general form of a reducible $M$-ideal in the space $C(X)$ of continuous functions on $X$. The...
