For uncertain time-delay systems with mismatch disturbances, this paper presented an integral sliding mode control algorithm using output information only. An integral sliding surface is comprised of output signals and an auxiliary full-order compensator. The designed output feedback sliding mode controller can locally satisfy the reaching and sliding condition and maintain the system on the sl...

The aim of this paper is to design a Fractional Order Sliding Mode Controllers (FOSMC)for a class of DC-DC converters such as boost and buck converters. Firstly, the control lawis designed with respect to the properties of fractional calculus, the design yields an equiv-alent control term with an addition of discontinuous (attractive) control law. Secondly, themathematical proof of the stabilit...

This paper proposes a novel adaptive Super-Twisting sliding mode control for a microgyroscope under unknown model uncertainties and external disturbances. In order to improve the convergence rate of reaching the sliding surface and the accuracy of regulating and trajectory tracking, a high order Super-Twisting sliding mode control strategy is employed, which not only can combine the advantages ...

Abstract: A hierarchical sliding mode control approach is proposed for a class of SIMO under-actuated systems. This class of under-actuated systems is made up of several subsystems. Based on this physical structure, the hierarchical structure of the sliding surfaces is designed as follows. At first, the sliding surface of every subsystem is defined. Then the sliding surface of one subsystem is ...

Designing a robust tracking control for a non-linear MIMO system with uncertainty is one of the most complicated control problems. In this paper, sliding mode changed to non-linear controllable canonical form by input-output linearization. This, sliding surfaces can be defined in a way that we can de-couple equations and indicate the sliding conditions of multi-variable controller system. The u...

A higher order sliding mode control algorithm is proposed for a class of uncertain multi-input multi-output nonlinear systems. This problem can be viewed as the finite time stabilization of a higher order input-output dynamic system with bounded uncertainties. The developed control scheme is based on geometric homogeneity and sliding mode control. The proposed procedure provides explicit condit...

In this paper, a robust Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for PV array has been proposed using sliding mode control by defining a new formulation for sliding surface which is based on increment conductance (INC) method. The stability and robustness of the proposed controller are investigated to load variations and environment changes. Three different types of DC-DC converter are used in Maxim...

In this paper, the recently developed sliding surface matching condition (SSMC) is viewed from a new point that the mismatched uncertain term should satisfy the minimum-phase condition for the nominal system. With this new viewpoint, SSMC is extended to a more general class of system with nonlinear uncertainties. Finally, a numerical example demonstrates the results.

Presented is a method of smooth sliding mode control design to provide for an asymptotic second-order sliding mode on the selected sliding surface. The control law is a nonlinear dynamic feedback that in absence of unknown disturbances provides for an asymptotic second-order sliding mode. Application of the second-order disturbance observer in a combination with the proposed continuous control ...

Sliding mode control (SMC) is known to be robust with respect to matched uncertainties. However, it does not guarantee stability of systems with mismatched uncertainties. In this paper, we propose a new method to design a sliding surface for linear systems with mismatched uncertainties. The proposed sliding surface provides a new stability criterion of the reduced-order system origin with respe...
