The focus of this work is to increase the understanding of the lean NOx reduction over silver-alumina catalysts using hydrocarbons as the reductant (HC-SCR). In particular, the effect of silver loading, the role of platinum doping, the effect of the reducing agent as well as the effects of aging and hydrothermal treatment on the catalytic activity, in particular at low temperatures, and selecti...

In this research oxidation kinetic panceuo.s (P.S) by S2O8-2 at the presence of AgNO3 ascatalyst was studied. The method was spectrophotometer following absorption spectrum (P.S) inwave length of 518 nm. After improving the condition such as PH, P.S concentration, K2S2O8concentration, ionic strength, temperature, rate constant, activation energy, constant frequency, order reaction and thermo dyna...

Commercial titania photocatalysts were modified with silver and gold by photodeposition, and characterized by diffuse reflectance spectroscopy (DRS), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) and scanning transmission electron microscopy (STEM). It was found that silver co-existed in zero valent (core) and oxidized (shell) forms, whereas gold was mainly zero valent....

Biosynthesis of metal nanoparticles using plant extract has received much attention due to its eco-friendly nature. The present study elucidates the green synthesize of Silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) from methanolic extract of Coleus Vettiveroids –an endemic species. The synthesis of AgNPs was confirmed by UV-visible spectrometry at 416 nm. Further, biosynthesized nanoparticles were characterized...

A series of novel 1,2,3-triazolylidene gold(i) chloride complexes have been synthesised and fully characterised. Silver-free methodologies for chloride ion abstraction of these complexes were evaluated for their potential as Au-based catalyst precursors. Using simple potassium salts or MeOTf as chloride scavengers produced metal complexes that catalyse both the regioselective synthesis of oxazo...

conclusions briefly, the current study represents a novel method to eliminate temephos as an organophosphate compound from water samples with modified zero-valent iron nanoparticles. background temephos is an organophosphate pesticide used as larvicide in the environment. although not extremely hazardous, it can be risky for human health in the moderate concentrations. objectives this study inv...

We demonstrate a dark-field microscopic technique for real-time monitoring of DNA metallization. The growth of silver nanoparticles on DNA molecules was observed using plasmon resonance light scattering in the presence of a weak catalyst triggering photo-reduction of Ag(+). This simple strategy could facilitate the controlled fabrication of DNA-templated nanoelectronic devices.

A dynamic azomethine ylide system was established using Sc(OTf)3 and Ag/Taniaphos as catalysts. The system was subsequently kinetically resolved in a tandem 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition process where the silver complex acted as both a reaction catalyst and an external selector, resulting in the formation of an exclusive pyrrolidine product in good yield and enantiopurity.

A catalytic asymmetric double (1,3)-dipolar cycloaddition reaction has been developed. Using a chiral silver catalyst, enantioenriched pyrrolizidines can be prepared in one flask from inexpensive, commercially available starting materials. The pyrrolizidine products contain a variety of substitution patterns and as many as six stereogenic centers.
