Binayak et al in [1] proved a fixed point of generalized Kannan type-mappings in generalized Menger spaces. In this paper we extend gen- eralized Kannan-type mappings in generalized fuzzy metric spaces. Then we prove a fixed point theorem of this kind of mapping in generalized fuzzy metric spaces. Finally we present an example of our main result.
The k-server problem is a fundamental online problem where k mobile servers should be scheduled to answer a sequence of requests for points in a metric space as to minimize the total movement cost. While the deterministic competitive ratio is at least k, randomized kserver algorithms have the potential of reaching o(k)-competitive ratios. Prior to this work only few specific cases of this probl...
In this paper, first we introduce the notion of $frac{1}{2}$-modular metric spaces and weak $(alpha,Theta)$-$omega$-contractions in this spaces and we establish some results of best proximity points. Finally, as consequences of these theorems, we derive best proximity point theorems in modular metric spaces endowed with a graph and in partially ordered metric spaces. We present an ex...
In this paper, we first present a preliminary study on metric segments and geodesics in metric spaces. Then we recall the concept of d-convexity of sets and functions in the sense of Menger and study some properties of d-convex sets and d-convex functions as well as extreme points and faces of d-convex sets in normed spaces. Finally we study the continuity of d-convex functions in geodesic metr...
In this article we study metric spaces which admit polynomial diameter-volume inequalities for k-dimensional cycles. These generalize the notion of cone type inequalities introduced by M. Gromov in his seminal paper Filling Riemannian manifolds. In a first part we prove a polynomial isoperimetric inequality for k-cycles in such spaces, generalizing Gromov’s isoperimetric inequality of Euclidean...
In 2008, Al-Thaga and Shahzad [Generalized I-nonexpansive self-maps and invariant approximations, Acta Math. Sinica 24(5) (2008), 867{876]introduced the notion of occasionally weakly compatible mappings (shortly owcmaps) which is more general than all the commutativity concepts. In the presentpaper, we prove common xed point theorems for families of owc maps in Mengerspaces. As applications to ...
A mapping T from a topological space X to a topological space Y is said to be compact if T (X) is contained in a compact subset of Y. The aim of the paper is to prove the existence of fixed points of a nonexpansive compact self-mapping defined on a closed subset having a contractive jointly continuous family when the underlying space is a metric space. The proved result generalizes and extends ...
in this paper is introduced a new type of generalization of metric spaces called sb metric space. for this new kind of spaces it has been proved a common xed point theorem for four mappings which satisfy generalized contractive condition. we also present example to conrm our theorem.
in this paper, we prove some coupled coincidence point theorems for mappings satisfying generalized contractive conditions under a new invariant set in ordered cone metric spaces. in fact, we obtain sufficient conditions for existence of coupled coincidence points in the setting of cone metric spaces. some examples are provided to verify the effectiveness and applicability of our results.
In this paper, we give some new coupled common fixed point theorems for probabilistic $varphi$-contractions in Menger probabilistic metric spaces. As applications of the main results, we obtain some coupled common fixed point theorems in usual metric spaces and fuzzy metric spaces. The main results of this paper improvethe corresponding results given by some authors. Finally, we give one exa...
