We report a young patient who developed a stiff man syndrome (SMS) long after remission of Hodgkin lymphoma. This patient is remarkable because he has had several other potentially autoimmune or paraneoplastic neurological syndromes including limbic encephalitis and demyelinating polyneuropathy which also occurred years after remission from Hodgkin disease.

Given that a clear, universal definition of advanced Hodgkin lymphoma does not exist, it comes as no surprise that the treatment of this disease is a controversial subject. Currently, the cure rate of advanced Hodgkin lymphoma is relatively high, although most physicians and patients confronting this disease recognize that the cure rate is less than ideal and the costs of treatment are substant...

Hepatic Hodgkin lymphoma is a rare disease, characterized by the presence of abundant granulofibrous stroma, and its radiological features have rarely been described. We report a 67-year-old man, who presented with liver masses that showed apparent delayed enhancement, along with systemic lymphadenopathy and musculoskeletal lesions. With the application of modern chemotherapy and radiation techniques, most patients with Hodgkin lymphoma can be cured, regardless of initial extent of disease. Although it is known that B-cell lymphomas occur more frequently in immunocompromised patients, thus far such an association has not been clearly established for T-cell lymphomas. Of the 251 patients who were diagnosed with a T-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma in our center between 1999 and 2014, at least 25 were identified in immunocompromised patients. Herein, we retrospectively analyzed the clinica...

Although treatment of pediatric Hodgkin disease has become highly effective over the past 40 years, a number of patients have developed concerning late effects, such as secondary malignancies. These cancers may occur years to decades after remission and arise in the breast, thyroid, gastrointestinal tract, lung, skin, urogenital tract, and brain. There is also an increased risk of leukemia and ...

After curative treatment of Hodgkin’s lymphoma, increased risk of certain solid tumors has been reported. To best of our knowledge this is the first report of metachronous pancreatic adenocarcinoma which developed outside the previous radiation field in a patient with relapse Hodgkin’s lymphoma. Herein we present an 81-year-old female who developed pancreatic adenocarcinoma four yea...

BACKGROUND Information on clinically verified stroke and transient ischemic attack (TIA) following Hodgkin lymphoma is scarce. We quantified the long-term risk of cerebrovascular disease associated with the use of radiotherapy and chemotherapy in survivors of Hodgkin lymphoma and explored potential pathogenic mechanisms. METHODS We performed a retrospective cohort study among 2201 five-year s...
