This paper presents priority based fuzzy goal programming approach to multi-objective quadratic programming problem. In the proposed approach, we construct the quadratic membership functions by determining the individual best solution of the objective functions subject to the system constraints. The quadratic membership functions are then transformed into equivalent linear membership functions ...

This paper presents a multi-objective fuzzy chance constrained capacitated transportation problem based on fuzzy goal programming problem with capacity restrictions on commodities which are shipped from different sources to different destinations. The capacity of each origin and the demand of each destination are considered random in nature with fuzzy normal stochastic parameters following norm...

In this paper, multi-objective optimization is used for Pareto optimum design of fuzzy fractional-order PID controllers for plants with parametric uncertainties. Two conflicting objective functions have been used in Pareto design of the fuzzy fractional-order PID controller. The results clearly show that an effective trade-off can be compromisingly achieved among the different fuzzy fractional-...

In a stochastic and fuzzy environment, a multi-objective fuzzy stopping problem is discussed. The randomness and fuzziness are evaluated by probabilistic expectations and scalarization functions respectively. Pareto optimal fuzzy stopping times are given under the assumption of regularity for stopping rules, by using λ-optimal stopping times.

generally, an engineering design problem has multiple objective functions. some of these problems can be formulated as multiobjective geometric programming models. on the other hand, often in the real world, coefficients of the objective functions are not known precisely. coefficients may be interpreted as fuzzy numbers, which lead to a multiobjective geometric programming with fuzzy parameters....

this paper introduces an indirect adaptive fuzzy sliding mode controller as a power system stabilizer for damping local and inter-area modes of oscillations of multi-machine power systems. this controller is designed based on the combination of sliding mode controller and the fuzzy logic systems. the fuzzy systems are used to approximate the unknown functions of power system model. generator sp...

The discovery of association rule acquire an imperative role in data mining since its inception, which tries to find correlation among the attributes in a database. Classical algorithms/procedures meant for Boolean data and they suffer from sharp boundary problem in handling quantitative data. Thereby fuzzy association rule (i.e., association rule based on fuzzy sets) with fuzzy minimum support...

This paper presents a new multi-objective coupled energy and reactive power market clearing model namely the MO-CERPMC model in day-ahead competitive market environment. In proposed model, both the active and reactive power markets are considered as coupled markets and cleared in a same time frame. The multi-objective optimization problem involves the minimization of total payment functions for...
