This article presents a numerical method for solving nonlinear two-dimensional fractional Volterra integral equation. We derive the Hat basis functions operational matrix of order integration and use it to solve integro-di?erential equations. The is described illustrated with examples. Also, we give error analysis.

ly u t is nothing more than an element in a Banach space B and this leaves room for applications to a wide variety of problems in di erential equations As in the examples above B might be L and A might be x or x and homogeneous boundary conditions could be included by restricting B appropriately More generally u t could be an vector valued function of multiple space variables The next step is t...

This paper summarizes recent results on the number and characterization of di erential invariants of transformation groups Generalizations of theorems due to Ovsiannikov and to M Green are presented as well as a new approach to nding bounds on the number of independent di erential invariants Consider a group of transformations acting on a jet space coordinatized by the inde pendent variables th...

We consider the construction of geometric integrators in the class of RKMK methods. Any di erential equation in the form of an in nitesimal generator on a homogeneous space is shown to be locally equivalent to a di erential equation on the Lie algebra corresponding to the Lie group acting on the homogenous space. This way we obtain a distinction between the coordinate-free phrasing of the di er...

We give a short introduction to the stochastic calculus for Itô-Lévy processes, and review brie‡y the two main methods of optimal control of stochastic systems described by such processes, namely: (i) Dynamic programming and the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman (HJB) equation (ii) The stochastic maximum principle and its associated adjoint backward stochastic di¤erential equation (BSDE). The two methods...

We simulate the Kardar-Parisi-Zhang equation in 2+1 dimensions. It is a non linear stochastic di erential equation which describes driven growing interfaces. The Hopf-Cole transformation is used in order to obtain a stable numerical scheme. The two relevant critical exponents are precisely measured. PACS numbers: 64.60.Ht, 05.40.+j, 05.70.Ln, 68.35.Fx

This paper presents a comparison between variational iteration method (VIM) and modfied variational iteration method (MVIM) for approximate solution a system of Volterra integral equation of the first kind. We convert a system of Volterra integral equations to a system of Volterra integro-di®erential equations that use VIM and MVIM to approximate solution of this system and hence obtain an appr...

Novel computing devices are exploited for numerical computation. The solution of a numerical problem is sought, which has been solved many times before, but this time with a di erent set of input data. A table is a classical way to collect the old solutions in order to exploit them to nd the new one. This process is extended to more general problems than the usual function value approximation. ...

In this study we analyze a non-overlapping domain decomposition method for the solution of elliptic Partial Di erential Equation (PDE) problems. This domain decomposition method involves the solution of Dirichlet and Neumann PDE problems on each subdomain, coupled with smoothing operations on the interfaces of the subdomains. The convergence analysis of the method at the di erential equation le...

Continuous system dynamics can be described by possibly large systems of di erential equations These can be either ordinary di erential equations ODEs or contain algebraic constraints as well to form di erential and algebraic equations DAEs Complex systems such as aircraft often operate in di erent modes of continuous operation and when mode changes occur the continuous dynamics change abruptly...
