A 2 1/2-year-old boy developed a choroidal metastasis from a congenital fibrosarcoma of the lower left limb that had been amputated shortly after birth. To our knowledge this is the first reported case of a congenital fibrosarcoma that metastasized to the choroid.

Infantile fibrosarcoma is very rare tumor and seldom occurs in oral cavity. Overall good prognosis is reported in more than 80% cases. We present a 5-month old female patient with swelling of the tongue for four months. This was excised completely. Histopathology and immunohistochemistry revealed it as infantile fibrosarcoma of grade II.

A phyllodes tumour of the breast converting to fibrosarcoma of the breast is a rare entity. Prognosis of fibrosarcoma of the breast is poor and the role of various treatment modalities is not clearly defined due to the rarity of the disease. One such case, which was treated successfully with a combination of surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy, is presented here.

Murine fibrosarcoma cells were examined for sensitivity to killing by natural killer (NK) and natural cytotoxic lymphocytes from mouse spleens. These tumor cell lines were sensitive to killing by effector cells which were nonadherent to plastic or nylon wool, Tin-I negative, asialoGMi negative, and present in the spleens of beige mice, nude mice, and A/J mice, as well as in the spleens of norma...

Fibrosarcoma is a rare neoplasm associated with locally-recurring and highly metastatic malignant mesenchymal fibroblast. This type of neoplasm is more prevalent among young adults and children. Fibrosarcoma can be treated by surgery for excision of the healthy marginal tissues alone or in combination with radiotherapy. This study presents the case of a 22-year-old female patient in Arak Vali-e...

Fibrosarcoma is a deadly disease in cats and is significantly more often located at classical vaccine injections sites. More rare forms of spontaneous non-vaccination site (NSV) fibrosarcomas have been described and have been found associated to genetic alterations. Purpose of this study was to compare the efficacy of adenoviral gene transfer in NVS fibrosarcoma. We isolated and characterized a...

Synthetic oligodeoxynucleotides containing unmethylated CpG motifs detected by Toll-like receptor 9 of dendritic cells and B cells have potent immunomodulatory effects. CpG oligodeoxynucleotides induce cytokines, activate natural killer cells, and elicit T-cell responses leading to antitumor effects, including improved efficacy of chemotherapeutic agents and, as we reported recently, synergy be...
