We show that all closed flat n-manifolds are diffeomorphic to a cusp cross-section in a finite volume hyperbolic n + 1-orbifold.

Any non compact finite volume hyperbolic 3-manifold has a finite cover which admits a nondegenerate ideal triangulation. As an application, we show that the volume of those manifolds is always a critical value of a function defined from the Lobachevskii function.

We prove the Farrell-Jones Isomorphism Conjecture for groups acting on complete hyperbolic manifolds with finite volume orbit space. We then apply this result to show that for any Bianchi group Γ, Wh(Γ), K̃0(ZΓ), and Ki(ZΓ) vanish for i ≤ −1.
