In Energy Constrained Wireless Sensor Network, maximizing network lifetime is an important issue. The challenge is to find out the optimal schedule of duty cycle for nodes while maintaining the sufficient number of active nodes for network coverage. In this paper we propose the Energy Efficient Battery Discharge Rate Based (E 2 BDRDC) Asynchronous Duty Cycling Protocol for WSN which consider th...

We present a new survey for pulsars in the error boxes of the low-latitude EGRET sources 3EG J1027−5817, 3EG J1800−2338 and 3EG J1810−1032. Although all of these sources have been covered by previous pulsar surveys, the recent discovery of the young, energetic pulsar PSR J1410−6132 at 6.7 GHz has shown that pulsars of this type can be hidden from low frequency surveys. Using an observing freque...

Some of the fundamental problems of the gait control of a quadruped walking vehicle are addressed. It is shown that the product of the duty factor and the stride length is equal to the length of the boundary of the reachable area of the leg. Furthermore, the mathematical expression representing the relationship between the stability margin, the stride length and duty factor are also formulated....

This paper formulates a new communication problem for smart LED lighting systems designed for light effect control. It introduces the key requirements imposed on the design of the LED driving sequences, which include multiple access, arbitrary duty cycle and no disturbance caused on the normal illumination function. We propose a class of orthogonal sequences that meets these requirements.

This paper considers the open multi-channel queuing system, which receives irregular homogeneous or heterogeneous applications with an unlimited flow of standby time. The system is regarded as an example of a container terminal, having conditionally functional sections with a certain duty cycle, which receives an irregular, non-uniform flow of vessels with the resultant intensity.

STUDY OBJECTIVES The pattern and distribution of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep changes during development, yet there have been few studies of REM density in children. Although children with obstructive apnea syndrome (OSAS) obstruct primarily during REM sleep, the relationship between REM density and obstructive apnea has not been established for this population. We hypothesized that (i) REM d...

A new model is proposed giving the channel capability of a MB-IR-UWB system versus the number of subband and the duty cycle. The architecture simulated shows data rate ranging from 1,434 Gbits/s to 0.9 Gbits/s for 16 to 10 subbands and duty cycle ranging from 20% to 12%.

INTRODUCTION Ultrasound has proven to be an important therapeutic resource regarding musculoskeletal disease and is routinely used in physical therapy and medicine both therapeutically and diagnostically. The aim of the present study was to analyse the effects with different ultrasound intensities in order to establish the ideal radiation level in cell cultures. MATERIAL AND METHODS FIBROBLAS...

We report the use of a pulse-width modulation drive technique for high-resolution liquid-crystal gratings and show how the grating diffraction efficiency depends on the duty cycle of the drive signal. We identify a regime in which the diffraction efficiency is linearly proportional to the duty cycle, thereby providing a linear drive characteristic.

Consumption of energy is one of the major problems in wireless sensor network, as sensor nodes driven on battery power. Therefore, it is intended to minimize the power consumption by putting the wireless interface of the sensor nodes in low power sleep mode. Wireless sensor networks constructed with hundreds and thousands of wireless sensor nodes and they deployed to solve different problems of...
