In this paper we address the problem of loading data from the web. We present the architecture of Xyro, a crawler designed to fetch data from the Web, and particularly XML data. We describe our experience in designing and implementing this robot, addressing some standard problems in the crawler implementation, and presenting our way to overcome in some of them.

In this paper, we present a new approach for building and archiving web collections about events. Our approach combines the traditional focused crawling technique with event modeling and representation.
