In this review article, we point out spontaneous symmetry breaking is closely related to the emergence of the topological defects. Basic definitions and dynamics of the domain walls are introduced in the second section. Finally, we worked out an example of the spherical domain wall by using semi-classical approach.
When the amount of the axion emitted from axionic strings is evaluated, the number density of the source string should be necessarily determined. Although it is the simplest assumption that the axionic strings obey the same distribution as that of the cosmic gauged strings, this assumption has not been completely justified. The damping due to the surrounding plasma is estimated by a detailed ca...
The general relativistic cosmological Friedmann equations that describe how the scale factor of the universe evolves are expanded explicitly to include energy species not usually seen. The evolution of a universe as indicated by the Friedmann equations when dominated by a single, isotropic, stable, static, perfect-fluid energy species are discussed and compared. These energy species include pha...
The search of an alternative compactification of extra dimensions is a very interesting tool to analyze the hierarchy problem in string theory. Among other physical implications they provide a beautiful scenario of our universe insering it on a brane [1, 2]. In the RandallSundrum (RS) model there are two 3-branes in a quite glance orbifold with Z2 symmetry in five dimensions [3]. A warp factor ...
We study the effect of baryons on cosmic web -- halos, filaments, walls, and voids. To do so, we apply a modified version NEXUS, morphological analysis algorithm, to IllustrisTNG simulations. find that halos lose more than $10\%$ their mass due baryons, mostly filaments small portion walls However, transfer does not significantly shift boundaries structures, leaving volume fractions structures ...
It was shown in [] and [] that topological defects such as domain walls and cosmic strings are generic to the left-right (L-R) symmetric model with two triplet and one bidoublet Higgs fields. In particular, the discrete L-R symmetry of the triplet Higgs potential implies that at the scale vR, in a given region in the Universe, either the SU(2)L or the SU(2)R could break. Immediately after this ...
Recent improvements in astronomical observations lead to the conclusion that the Hubble constant lies between 60 and 80 Mpc km 1 sec 1 and the age of the universe between 11 and 14 Gigayears. Taken together with recent observations of distant type Ia supernovae and the cosmic background radiation, these limits allow a check of the consequences of predictions made a decade ago using program univ...
We study the formation and evolution of domain walls with initial inflationary fluctuations by numerical lattice calculations that, for first time, correctly take into account correlations on superhorizon scales. find contrary to widely-held claim {over past few tens years}, wall network exhibits remarkable stability even when distribution is largely biased toward one minima. This due fact that...
Cosmic voids are underdense regions filling up most of the volume in universe. They expected to emerge comprising negative initial density fluctuations, and subsequently expand as matter around them collapses forms walls, filaments, clusters. We report results from analysis a cosmological simulation specially designed accurately describe low-density regions, such cosmic voids. Contrary common e...
Gravitational wave astronomy has recently emerged as a new way to study our Universe. In this work, we survey the potential of gravitational interferometers detect macroscopic astrophysical objects comprising dark matter. Starting from well-known case clumps expand cosmic strings and domain walls. We also consider sensitivity measure matter power spectrum on small scales. Our analysis is based ...
