In this paper, first we prove a common fixed point theorem for a pair of weakly compatible self maps in complex valued metric space for rational inequality. Secondly, we prove common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible mappings along with (CLRg) and E.A. properties.

We establish common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible generalized φcontractions. As applications, various common fixed point and best approximation results for Cq-commuting and compatible maps are derived. Our results unify, extend and complement various known results existing in the literature.

The concept of occasionally weakly compatible (shortly, owc) mappings introduced by Al-Thagafi and Shahzad [2], which is more general than the concept of weakly compatible maps.
