Let Nn denote the quotient poset of the Boolean lattice, Bn, under the relation equivalence under rotation. Griggs, Killian, and Savage proved that Np is a symmetric chain order for prime p. In this paper, we settle the question of whether this poset is a symmetric chain order for all n by providing an algorithm that produces a symmetric chain decompostion (or SCD). We accomplish this by modify...

Libraries world-over are facing an economic crisis due to the imbalance in skyrocketing of subscription prices and shrinking or at best stable library budgets. Librarians have long ago realized the fact that however rich their collections are, they will not be able to meet the ever growing demands of their clientele. And, for this very reason, the inter library loan (ILL) service was started by...

We use simulated maps to investigate the ability of high resolution, low noise surveys of the CMB to create catalogues of Clusters of galaxies by detecting the characteristic signature imprinted by the Sunyaev Zeldovich effect. We compute the completeness of the catalogues in our simulations for several survey strategies, and evaluate the relative merit of some Fourier and wavelet based filteri...

We performed a usability evaluation of four New Zealand university online library catalogues. The evaluation found severe usability problems with online catalogues—we found so many problems we were forced to use a card sorting technique to understand and classify the problems. These problems cover almost all aspects of catalogue use and existed across all the evaluated catalogues. This paper de...

The reference systems defined by the SAO and Hipparcos catalogues are compared using vector spherical harmonic analysis. The differences between astrometric data in both catalogues have been grouped into different data sets and separate harmonic analysis performed on them. The Fourier coefficients yield estimates of systematic errors in SAO catalogue.
