A new species is described and illustrated under the name of Strongylium liangi sp. n. (CHINA: Yunnan). Also, some new distribution data is provided for S. claudum (Gebien, 1914), and a distribution map of all Strongylium species in the checklist is presented.

A new combination is established: Nalassus (Helopocerodes) magyari (Kaszab, 1968), comb. n.
