In this paper we describe the formal Lagrange-technique to optimize the production process of solid state crystals from a mixture crystal melt. We have studied the self-adjointness of generalized MIC-Kepler Hamiltonian, obtained from the formally self-adjoint generalized MIC-Kepler Hamiltonian. We have shown that for l̃ = 0, the system admits an 1-parameter family of self-adjoint extension and for l̃ 6= 0 but l̃ < 1 2 , it has also an 1parameter family of self-adjoint extension.

We investigate the conditions under which residual-based variational multiscale methods are adjoint, or dual, consistent for model hyperbolic and elliptic partial differential equations. In particular, while many residual-based variational multiscale stabilizations are adjoint consistent for hyperbolic problems and finite-element spaces, only a few are adjoint consistent for elliptic problems.
