Phytochemical studies on Galanthus elwesii resulted in the isolation of five alkaloids: incartine, hordenine, hippeastrine, 8-O-demethylhomolycorine and lycorine. The NMR data given previously for incartine were revised and completed by two-dimensional 1H-1H and 1H-13C chemical shift correlation experiments. In vitro studies on the bioactivity of incartine were carried out.

To understand the nature and structure of N-doping centers in carbon materials, we combine two-dimensional (2D) solid-state NMR experiments chemical shift calculations for 15N, 13C, 1H nucl...

In the present work, the quantum theoretical calculations of the molecular structure of the (N-(2-benzoylphenyl) oxalamate has been investigated and are evaluated using Density Functional Theory (DFT). The geometry of the title compound was optimized by B3LYP method with 6-311+G(d) basis set. The theoretical 1H and 13C NMR chemical shift (GIAO method) values of the title compound are calculated...

An improved version of the three-dimensional HCCH-COSY NMR experiment is described that correlates the resonances of geminal and vicinal proton pairs with the chemical shift of the 13C nucleus attached to one of the protons. The experiment uses constant-time evolution of transverse 13C magnetization which optimizes transfer of magnetization and thus improves the sensitivity of the experiment ov...

A new method for refinement of 3D molecular structures by geometry optimization is presented. Prerequisites are a force field and a very fast procedure for the calculation of chemical shifts in every step of optimization. To the energy, provided by the force field (COSMOS force field), a pseudoenergy, depending on the difference between experimental and calculated chemical shifts, is added. In ...

Traumatic brain injury (TBI) triggers a series of complex pathophysiological processes. These include abnormalities in brain energy metabolism; consequent to reduced tissue pO2 arising from ischemia or abnormal tissue oxygen diffusion, or due to a failure of mitochondrial function. In vivo magnetic resonance spectroscopy (MRS) allows non-invasive interrogation of brain tissue metabolism in pati...
