This study aimed to determine physicochemical parameters for obtaining prediction equation in order to evaluate the postharvest quality of tomatoes (Solanum lycopersicum L.). A imaging system was used to measure L*a*b* color space. In tomatoes (variety Caiman) were evaluated weight loss, oBrix, pH, titrable acidity, firmness and oHue over 17 days of storage. The experimental results demonstrate...

Using ideas from an article of P. Bieliavsky, M. Rooman and Ph. Spindel on BTZ black holes, I construct a family of interesting examples of quasi-Poisson actions as defined by A. Alekseev and Y. Kosmann-Schwarzbach. As an application, I obtain a genuine Poisson structure on SL(2, R) which induces a Poisson structure on a BTZ black hole.

A pH-sensitive RuO₂ electrode coated in a commercial cyanoacrylate adhesive typically exhibits very low pH sensitivity, and could be paired with a RuO₂ working electrode as a differential type pH sensor. However, such sensors display poor performance in real sample matrices. A pH sensor employing a RuO₂ pH-sensitive working electrode and a SiO₂-PVB junction-modified RuO&...

Interaction with an adaptive hypertext can be seen as a form of "goal-oriented" dialogue, where the user asks for information through a set of predefined queries and the system answers by ensuring that the global communicative goal of the information process is achieved through a sequence of dialogue sections (hypermedia nodes). This is a planning problem, in which the system tries to develop a...

Quantifying changes in blood chemistry in elasmobranchs can provide insights into the physiological insults caused by anthropogenic stress, and can ultimately inform conservation and management strategies. Current methods for analysing elasmobranch blood chemistry in the field are often costly and logistically challenging. We compared blood pH values measured using a portable, waterproof pH met...
