This paper describes and compares two pioneering mobile robot systems, which were recently deployed as interactive tour-guides in two museums. Both robots demonstrated safe and reliable navigation in proximity of people. They also interacted with museum visitor through various means, including the Web. Probabilistic algorithms and learning are pervasive in their software architectures. This art...

The purpose of this paper is to report the development a web-based learning community system called 'the Robot Studio,' in which learners are helped to create autonomous robots. As an online robot contest is held in the Robot Studio, learners upload some still and moving graphics, as well as program files of their robots, and participate in a competition where they can interact and rate their w...

We present our efforts to deploy mobile robots in office environments, focusing in particular on the challenge of planning a schedule for a robot to accomplish user-requested actions. We concretely aim to make our CoBot mobile robots available to execute navigationalbased tasks requested by users, such as telepresence, and picking up and delivering messages or objects at different locations. We...

this paper presents a delay compensator fuzzy control for trajectory tracking of omni-directional mobile robots. fuzzy logic control (flc) of the robots is a suitable strategy for dealing with model uncertainties, nonlinearities and disturbances.  on the other hand, in many robotic applications such as mobile robots, delay phenomenon is able to substantially deteriorate the behavior of system's...

In this paper we will show that it is possible to combine mobile agent technology with existing non-mobile data mining applications. The motivation for this is the advantage mobile agents offer in moving the computation closer to the data in a distributed system. This can save bandwidth and increase performance when the data is condensed as a result of data mining.

This paper presents our efforts to adopt the adavantages of web-based solutions to develop robotic applications. We describe the usage of web applications in robotics and introduce ROSProcessingjs, our web-based robot application development environment, which enables the development of robot applications in a web browser in Processing.

This paper presents experimental analysis of wheeled mobile robots. Mathematical modelling of the mobile robot is presented. The mobile robots consist of an omni-directional and three differential drive mobile robots are tested and moved in given trajectories and the systematic errors of the robots are determined. A new method for omni-direction mobile robot was introduced in which the robot wa...

The kinematics and dynamics of two industrial cooperating robots are presented in this paper. The NOC (natural orthogonal complement) method is used to derive the dynamical equations for the motion of two cooperating robots. The joint torques of the two robots are determined based on the optimization techniques in order to obtain unique solution for joint torques. To this end, minimizing the cr...

The World Wide Web provides a unique opportunity to connect robots to the Internet. Easy to use Web interfaces enable people all over the world to control mobile robots and to monitor their operation from the distance. Additionally, connecting a robot to the Internet offers distributed research groups the opportunity to perform joint experiments. In this context visualizing the robot’s actions ...

in this paper, to analyze the transport of autonomous robots, an artificial capital market is used. capital market is considered as a pier which loading and unloading of cargo is done. autonomous robots load and unload from the ship to the warehouse wharf or vice versa. all the robots have the ability of transporting the loads, but depending on loads and the location of unloading (or loading) a...
