HAAs are traditionally the second most common visceral aneurysms with an incidence of 20% and have highest (44%) reported rate rupture [2]. The clinical manifestations depending on size include epigastric pain, obstruction biliary tract, death [3]. Imaging modalities like computed tomograph...

Chronic pancreatitis is known to cause vascular lesions, which produce gastrointestinal haemorrhage. Visceral vessel aneurysms are an unexpectedly common finding in arteriograms of patients with chronic pancreatitis. Gastrointestinal bleeding from these aneurysms carries a high mortality, making early diagnosis and treatment essential. Coeliac and mesenteric arteriography readily confirm the di...

Visceral arterial aneurysm is an uncommon form of vascular disease that has a significant potential for rupture or erosion into an adjacent viscera, resulting in life-threatening hemorrhage. Superior mesenteric artery (SMA) aneurysms are especially rare, comprising only 5-8% of all visceral arterial aneurysms. Traditionally, the most common treatment for SMA aneurysms has been simple surgical l...

Direct percutaneous puncture for coil placement has been described for visceral aneurysms, but the procedure has not been previously reported for aneurysms of the head and neck. We report a case in which stent-assisted endovascular treatment was successfully combined with direct puncture for additional coil placement to treat a symptomatic giant aneurysm of the cervical internal carotid artery.
