Nowadays, use of public transportation is one of issues that is associated with different aspects of life quality. According to measures taken in our country in order to targeting the subsidies, it is necessary to work more researches in the field of transportation marketing and Recognition of passengers or customers types in this market. To develop strategies for increasing the use of urban pu...

Abstractive text summarization of news requires a way of representing events, such as a collection of pattern clusters in which every cluster represents an event (e.g., marriage) and every pattern in the cluster is a way of expressing the event (e.g., X married Y, X and Y tied the knot). We compare three ways of extracting event patterns: heuristics-based, compressionbased and memory-based. Whi...

In this paper, the problem of batch scheduling in a flexible flow shop environment is studied. It is assumed that machines in some stages are able to process a number of jobs simultaneously. The applications of this problem can be found in various industries including spring and wire manufacturing and in auto industry. A mixed integer programming formulation of the problem is presented and it i...

the purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between teachers’ class management practices with students’ self- regulated learning and academic self-efficacy. in this study relating to the management class, three dimensions, (training management, people management and behavior management) and three style (interventionist, interactionist and non-interventionist) was considered. r...

After a brief introduction to the basic concepts of reverse logistics, we present a two-level location problem with three types of facility to be located in a specific reverse logistics system, named a Remanufacturing Network (RMN). For this problem, we propose a 0–1 mixed integer programming model, in which we simultaneously consider “forward” and “reverse” flows and their mutual interactions....

clustering technique is one of the most important techniques of data mining and is the branch of multivariate statistical analysis and a method for grouping similar data in to same clusters. with the databases getting bigger, the researchers try to find efficient and effective clustering methods so that they can make fast and real decisions. thus, in this paper, we proposed an improved ant syst...

The heuristic k-means algorithm, widely used for cluster analysis, does not guarantee optimality. We developed a dynamic programming algorithm for optimal one-dimensional clustering. The algorithm is implemented as an R package called Ckmeans.1d.dp. We demonstrate its advantage in optimality and runtime over the standard iterative k-means algorithm.

We study the structure of loops in networks using the notion of modulus of loop families. We introduce an alternate measure of network clustering by quantifying the richness of families of (simple) loops. Modulus tries to minimize the expected overlap among loops by spreading the expected link usage optimally. We propose weighting networks using these expected link usages to improve classical c...
