A model of a three Pomeron contribution to high energy elastic pp and p̄p scattering is proposed. The data are well described for all momenta (0.01 ≤ |t| ≤ 14. GeV 2) and energies (8. ≤ √s ≤ 1800. GeV ) (χ2/d.o.f. = 2.60). The model predicts the appearance of two dips in the differential cross-section which will be measured at LHC. The phenomenology of heavy quarkonia production in hadron collisions is reviewed. The theoretical predictions are compared to data. Commonly used production models are shown to fail in explaining all the experimental findings. The shortcomings of these models are analysed and possible improvements are discussed.
