The theory of instability accretion disks about black holes, neutron stars or proto-planets, is revisited by means the recent method Spectral Web. cylindrical disk differential equation shown to be governed forward and backward Doppler-shifted continuous Alfv\'en spectra $\Omega_{\rm A}^\pm \equiv m \Omega \pm \omega_{\rm A}$, where $\omega_{\rm A}$ static frequency. It crucial take non-axisymm...
In this work we use the radiation hydrodynamic code TRAMP to perform a twodimensional axially symmetric model of the layered disc. Using this model we follow the accumulation of mass in the dead zone due to the radially varying accretion rate. We found a new type of instability which causes the dead zone to split into rings. This ”ring instability” works due to the positive feedback between the...
HYPOTHESIS Does metatarsal pronation exist and, if so, what is its impact? INTRODUCTION Hallux valgus is a deformity associating angulation and a rotational component. The present study sought to investigate the nature and origin of the coronal plane displacement. MATERIALS AND METHODS A prospective single-center radiological and anatomic study was conducted on 100 feet operated on for hall...
Stars of spectral classes A and late B are almost entirely radiative. CP stars are a slowly rotating subgroup of these stars. It is possible that they possessed long-lived accretion disks in their T Tauri phase. Magnetic coupling of disk and star leads to rotational braking at the surface of the star. Microscopic viscosities are extremely small and will not be able to reduce the rotation rate o...
A Kerr black hole can flare quasi-periodically, if it is magnetically connected to the accretion disk. The flares extract the rotational energy of the hole. The flaring occurs because the hole twists the magnetic field lines beyond the threshold of the screw instability. Subject headings: black holes – magnetic fields
An increasing concern has been given to the rotation stability of the knee in the setting of an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) reconstruction. This growing interest stems from a better understanding of the rotational stability of the knee afforded by the identification of the anterolateral ligament. Previously, a residual abnormal pivot-shift test had been found after an anatomic single-band ...
What is the origin of rotational motion? An answer is presented through the study of the dynamics for spatially localized spots near codimension 2 singularity consisting of drift and peanut instabilities. The drift instability causes a head-tail asymmetry in spot shape, and the peanut one implies a deformation from circular to peanut shape. Rotational motion of spots can be produced by combinin...
We investigate whether angular momentum transport due to unstable pulsation modes can play a significant role in the rotational evolution of massive stars. We find that these modes can redistribute appreciable angular momentum, and moreover trigger shear-instability mixing in the molecular weight gradient zone adjacent to stellar cores, with significant evolutionary impact.
