In this work, M-doped TiO2 nanostructures (M: Fe, Co and Ni) were synthesized by reverse microemulsion method. The as-prepared products were analyzed by different techniques such as scanning electron microscopy (SEM), Transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR). The effect of various dopants (Fe, Co and Ni) on ba...

The photoinduced reduction of three Co electrocatalysts immobilised on TiO2 is 10(4) times faster than the reverse charge recombination. Both processes show an exponential dependence on the distance between the semiconductor and the catalytic core.

To provide supplementary oil recovery after the primary and secondary processes, enhanced oil recovery (EOR) techniques are introduced. Carbonated water injection (CWI) as an EOR method can improve sweep efficiency and the risk of gas leakage. On the other hand, the interfacial tension (IFT) is one of the key factors which can affect fluid displacement during the process of CWI greatly. Therefo...

Double metal cyanides (DMCs) are highly active recyclable heterogeneous catalysts for hydroamination of phenylacetylene with 4-isopropylaniline. The best hydroamination yields are obtained with Zn-Co DMCs, especially if the particle size is decreased by a reverse emulsion synthesis technique.

Water dynamics inside of reverse micelles made from the surfactant Aerosol-OT (AOT) were investigated by observing spectral diffusion, orientational relaxation, and population relaxation using two-dimensional infrared (2D IR) vibrational echo spectroscopy and pump-probe experiments. The water pool sizes of the reverse micelles studied ranged in size from 5.8 to 1.7 nm in diameter. It is found t...

The electron transfer process between pentammineaquacobalt (III) and hexacyanoferrate (II), [Co(NH3)5H2O]3+/Fe(CN)6]4− ion pair was investigated in water/dioctyl sodium sulfosuccinate (AOT)/Isooctane reverse micelles. study observed that the rate depends on size of concentrations Fe (II) ions were varied different-sized (Wo) micelles Wo = [H2O]/[AOT] 10 to 30, but concentration Co kept constant...

BACKGROUND The concept of reverse engineering a gene network, i.e., of inferring a genome-wide graph of putative gene-gene interactions from compendia of high throughput microarray data has been extensively used in the last few years to deduce/integrate/validate various types of "physical" networks of interactions among genes or gene products. RESULTS This paper gives a comprehensive overview...

BACKGROUND: Chemiluminescence immunoassay (CIA) is used to detect hepatitis C virus (HCV) antibody status on the basis of signal-to-cutoff (S/Co) ratios. Positive results of antibody to HCV (anti-HCV) are followed by either recombinant immunoblot assay (RIBA) to confirm anti-HCV positivity or reverse transcription (RT)-PCR to detect viremia. We hypothesized that by analyzing S/Co ratios, we cou...
