ABSTRACT Natural suppressiveness of soils to take-all disease of wheat, referred to as take-all decline (TAD), occurs worldwide. It has been postulated that different microbial genera and mechanisms are responsible for TAD in soils from different geographical regions. In growth chamber experiments, we demonstrated that fluorescent Pseudomonas spp. that produce the antibiotic 2,4-diacetylphlorog...

BACKGROUND We evaluated the combined use of the modified Hodge test (MHT) and carbapenemase inhibition test (CIT) using phenylboronic acid (PBA) and EDTA to detect carbapenemase-producing Enterobacteriaceae (CPE) and metallo-β-lactamase (MBL)-producing Pseudomonas spp. METHODS A total of 49 isolates of CPE (15 Klebsiella pneumoniae carbapenemase [KPC], 5 Guiana extended-spectrum β-lactamase [...

This work determined the impact of irrigation on the seasonal dynamics of populations of Pseudomonas spp. producing the antibiotics phenazine-1-carboxylic acid (Phz(+)) and 2,4-diacetylphloroglucinol (Phl(+)) in the rhizosphere of wheat grown in the low-precipitation zone (150 to 300 mm annually) of the Columbia Plateau of the Inland Pacific Northwest. Population sizes and plant colonization fr...

l-asparaginase is a candidate enzyme for anti-neoplastic agent againstacute lymphoblasticleukemia and also extensively use in the food industry for prevention of acrylamide formation. l-asparaginase is widely distributed among microorganisms. in this study, marine bacteria were isolated from persian gulf and screened for l-asparaginase activity. production of l-asparaginase was carried out by u...

Background:Ralstonia spp. is a major pathogenic microbe for tomato, which invades the roots of diverse plant hosts and colonizes xylem vessels causing wilt, especially in tropical, subtropical and warm-temperate regions. Ralstonia spp. produces several virulence factors helping it to invade the plant's natural defense mechanism. Native isolates of Trichoderma spp., Pseudomonas fluorescens and B...

Market garden products can carry several types of microorganisms, and their consumption is the source of many cases of food poisoning. This work aimed to improve food safety in Benin. In characterizing strains of K. pneumoniae and fluorescent Pseudomonas spp. at the biochemical and molecular level, the target was to identify contaminated watering water and garden products sold during Cotonou in...

BACKGROUND Currently, to our knowledge, quality of output water of dental chair units is not covered by specific regulations in the European Union, and national recommendations are heterogeneous. In Germany, water used in dental chair units must follow drinking water quality. In the United States of America, testing for aerobic heterotrophic bacteria is recommended. The present study was perfor...

Acanthamoeba is a "Trojan horse" of the microbial world. The aim of this study was to identify the presence of Pseudomonas as an amoeba-resistant microorganism in 12 isolates of Acanthamoeba. All isolates showed the genus Pseudomonas spp. as amoeba-resistant microorganisms. Thus, one can see that the Acanthamoeba isolates studied are hosts of Pseudomonas.

Central line-associated bloodstream infections (CLABSIs) are considered a significant cause of mortality in hospitalized patients; Also, it is associated with high healthcare costs. Microbial pathogens that may these different – Staphylococcus spp, Enterococcus spp., Escherichia coli, Klebsiella Pseudomonas, Acinetobacter, and others. In addition, role plays yeast fungus, Candida spp. this revi...

Four carbapenem-resistant Pseudomonas spp. were isolated from patients in Singapore. One Pseudomonas putida isolate contained a bla(IMP-1) identical to that first described in Japan. The sequence of a variant bla(IMP-1) in Pseudomonas fluorescens contained four silent mutations compared with the original sequence. The remaining P. putida isolates contained bla(VIM-6), a novel VIM gene variant.
