Introduction: Extended spectrum beta-lactamase (ESBL) producing Escherichia coli generate a major problem for clinical therapeutics and epidemiological study. The incidence of ESBL producing strains among clinical isolates has been steadily increasing during the past few years, and remains an important cause of failure of therapy with cephalosporins. The aim of this study was to determine the a...
Without discussing the positive and some negative effects of economic globalization, an increasing number of researchers, scholars, consultants, policy makers added to the concept of ‘globalization’ the qualification of ‘sustainable’. We can define the economic sustainability as the growth of richness and its distribution that enable a larger and larger part of the world population satisfy and ...
We construct an equilibrium measure µ for a polynomial correspondence F of Lojasiewicz exponent l > 1. We then show that µ can be built as the distribution of preimages of a generic point and that the expansive periodic points are equidistributed on the support of µ. Using this results, we will give a characterization of infinite unique sets for polynomials.
In this paper, we construct two classes of permutation polynomials over Fq2 with odd characteristic from rational Rédei functions. A complete characterization of their compositional inverses is also given. These permutation polynomials can be generated recursively. As a consequence, we can generate recursively permutation polynomials with arbitrary number of terms. More importantly, the conditi...
The MIT Economic Projection and Policy Analysis (EPPA) model has been broadly applied on energy and climate policy analyses. In this paper, we provide an updated version of the model based on the most recent global economic database with the base year data of 2007. Also new in this version of the model are non-homothetic preferences, a revised capital vintaging structure, separate accounting of...
We examine the relationship between economic growth, tax policy, and the distribution of capital and labor ownership in a one-sector political-economy model of endogenous growth with productive government spending Þnanced by a proportional tax on capital income. Our analysis shows that inequality in wealth and income can be positively or negatively related to the optimal tax rate. In either env...
With the deenition of discrete line introduced by Reveilles REV91], there have been a wide range of research in discrete geometry and more precisely on the study of discrete line. By the use of the linear time line recognition algorithm of Debled and Reveilles DR94], A Vialard has proposed a O(n:l) algorithm for computing the tangent at all the points of a discrete curve. The complexity of her ...
Drawing on family business studies and the knowledge-based view of economic growth, we develop and test a model of how the prevalence of smalland medium-size enterprises (SMEs) under family control affects economic growth. Specifically, we propose there is an inverted Ushaped relationship between family SMEs’ proportional representation and economic growth owing to their relative strengths and ...
We construct a model, via educational expenditure, linking female labor supply to fertility and economic growth. Our paper includes three main themes. First, increases in parental time of teaching at home and educational expenditure lead to an increase in the level of human capital stock. Both home education and school education are inputs of the human capital production function. Second, the r...
