A method for sensor fault estimation in multiple-input multiple-output linear time varying systems is proposed in this paper. It is based on a new adaptive observer for joint estimation of states and sensor faults in a state-space formulation of the monitored system. The exponential convergence of the algorithm is proved under some persistent excitation condition. Copyright c ©2005 IFAC

OBJECTIVE To assess the role of obesity and metabolic dysfunctionality with knee osteoarthritis (OA), knee joint pain, and physical functioning performance, adjusted for joint space width (JSW) asymmetry. METHODS Knee OA was defined as a Kellgren/Lawrence score > or =2 on weight-bearing radiographs. Obesity was defined as a body mass index > or =30 kg/m2. Cardiometabolic clustering classifica...

In 1890, Themistocles Gluck performed the first total wrist replacement, implanting an ivory ball-and-socket prosthesis in a 19-year-old male patient with tuberculosis. Although Gluck’s first patients suffered from persistent infection, his subsequent patients demonstrated good long-term results. Despite initial successes, the use of wrist arthroplasty has made slow progress within the orthopae...
