Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia is a benign lesion of vascular origin. It is caused by excessive proliferation of endothelial cells in vascular malformations or normal blood vessels. We report the case of a 58-year-old woman sent to our clinic for surgery of an orbital fat prolapse at her right eye. The clinical examination showed a displacable swelling with a slightly livid asp...
The purpose of this study was to characterize ligands for galectins, natural galactoside-binding immunoglobulin G subfractions and sarcolectin and also the expression of calcyclin in various benign and malignant thyroid lesions. The extent of the binding of eight glycochemical probes was quantitatively assessed using computer-assisted microscopy on 76 thyroid lesions including 10 not-otherwise-...
Intravascular papillary endothelial hyperplasia is a benign and rare intravascular process thought to arise from an organizing thrombus. Involvement of the adrenal gland is extremely rare, with only one case reported in the literature. We report a case of this vascular lesion in the adrenal gland, treated with laparoscopic adrenalectomy.

Cytological features of the various proliferative breast lesions have been described by numerous authors. The aim of this study was to evaluate the usefulness of these criteria in diagnosing epithelial hyperplasia with atypia (EHA), papillary lesions (PLs) and radial scar/complex sclerosing lesions (RS/CSLs) by fine needle aspiration biopsy (FNAB). EHA is a cytological diagnosis that raises a h...
Nodular histiocytic/mesothelial hyperplasia (NHMH) is a very rare condition. It generally thought to be associated with repeated mechanical or chemical stimulation. This study reported NHMH papillary growth pattern in the ovary following high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) treatment for uterine leiomyoma and adenomyosis. A 48-year-old female, who had history of undergoing HIFU 7 times aden...
