The wide range of external solid organic sources nutrients viz., FYM, vermicompost, goat manure, etc., are available, out them, FYM & vermicompost found to good in terms yield and quality the different pulse crops. Several options available for liquid manures, among them higher yield, cost-benefit ratio produce reported with application Panchagavya jeevamrut. Crop residue mulching manures w...

abstract biological and chemical changes in rhizosphere following organic residues as well as manures application are important processes which influence nitrogen mineralization and nutrients bioavailibity in soils. this study was done to evaluation of organic residues effect on growth, nitrogen supply and rhizosphere characteristics of corn and sunflower plants in greenhouse experiment using s...

Mineral Fertilizers. It is considered to be the hall-mark of the good agriculturist that he aims not only to produce maximum crops, but to maintain the fertility of his soil unimpaired for the benefit of posterity. Both these ends were achieved in former times by the use of animal manures, by fallowing at regular intervals, and at a later date by the practice of crop rotation in conjunction wit...

The worldwide heavy use of veterinary pharmaceuticals in confined animal-feeding operations has resulted in annual discharge of 3,000–27,000 tons of drug chemicals via livestock manure into the environment. More than 50 major antibiotics have been detected in poultry, swine, cattle, and horse manures at 0.01–765 mg kg 1 dry manure mass. In animal manures, most veterinary pharmaceuticals degrade...

Mustard (Brassica and Sinapis spp.) green manures tilled into the soil preceding potato crops act as biofumigants that are toxic to plant–parasitic nematodes, providing an alternative to synthetic soil fumigants. However, it is not known whether mustard green manures also kill beneficial entomopathogenic nematodes (EPNs) that contribute to the control of pest insects. We used sentinel insect pr...

The ability to predict manure nitrogen mineralization is essential for optimizing crop growth while preventing N losses to the environment. However, estimating mineralizable manure N is problematic because of the wide variety of organic manure N forms, as well as the lack of a rapid standardized method. Fourier-transformed infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR) is a promising technology, since it can de...

Stenotrophomonas maltophilia is a major opportunistic human pathogen responsible for nosocomial infections. Here, we report the draft genome sequences of Sm32COP, Sm41DVV, Sm46PAILV, SmF3, SmF22, SmSOFb1, and SmCVFa1, isolated from different manures in France, which provide insights into the genetic determinism of intrinsic or acquired antibiotic resistance in this species.
