[1] The Jurassic Quiet Zone (JQZ) is a region of low-amplitude magnetic anomalies whose distinctive character may be related to geomagnetic field behavior. We collected deep-tow magnetic profiles in Pigafetta Basin (western Pacific) where previous deep-tow data partially covered the JQZ sequence. Our goals were to extend the survey through the JQZ, examine anomaly correlations, and refine a pre...
Duplication of the gallbladder, a rare congenital anomaly, is important in clinical practice as it may cause some clinical, surgical, and diagnostic problems. This anomaly is also important for surgeons due to the increased risk of complications especially after laparoscopic cholecystectomy. We report ultrasonography, computed tomography, and magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography findings...
We report the case of a young girl with a mixed total anomalous pulmonary venous return (cardiac and supracardiac) treated sequentially by partial neonatal surgery, and then catheterization at age 19 with installation of an Amplatzer device as a treatment of the remaining anomaly. We describe the usefulness of magnetic resonance imaging in both the diagnosis and follow-up of this anomaly.
Conclusions Although PLSVC is usually asymptomatic, it is important to be aware of its existence, since it may cause problems performing central venous catheterization, pacemaker implantation and cardiothoracic surgery. This anomaly is also associated with high incidence of congenital heart disease, arrhytmias and conduction disturbances. Modern imaging techniques including computed tomography ...
Effect of Seasonal Anomaly or Winter on The Refractive Index of in Height of The Ionospheric F2-Peak
In this paper, we deal with the effect on the refractive index of seasonal anomaly in height of the ionospheric F2 peak for both, collisional and collisionless cases in the by using the real geometry of Earth’s magnetic field for north hemisphere. It is possible to say that there is an anti-symmetric harmony between the electron density and the all waves (for collisional and collisionless cases...
The continuous wavelet transform has been used with much success in the analysis of non-stationary time series. It has been used much less frequently in the interpretation of magnetic or gravity data, although several approaches have been tried. A simple method of obtaining location and depth estimates of gravity and magnetic field sources is suggested here. For gravity data the method uses wav...
23 OCTOBER 2015 • VOL 350 ISSUE 6259 379 crystal momentum space. This, however, is not important, as a similar effect should be observed in Weyl semimetals, where opposite-chirality fermions exist at distinct points in momentum space. The way that the chiral anomaly manifests in Na 3 Bi is through magnetoresistance (a dependence of the electrical resistance of the material on an applied magneti...
