Abstract The vortex-in-cell time-segment assimilation (VIC-TSA) method is introduced. A particle track obtained from a finite number of successive time samples the tracer’s position and velocity can be used for reconstruction on Cartesian grid. Similar to VIC + technique, makes use paradigm produce estimates flow state at locations times other than measured ones. working principle requires time...
The concept of a preopen set in a topological space was introduced by H. H. Corson and E. Michael in 1964 [3]. A subset A of a topological space (X, τ) is called preopen or locally dense or nearly open if A ⊆ Int(Cl(A)). A set A is called preclosed if its complement is preopen or equivalently if Cl(Int(A)) ⊆ A. The term, preopen, was used for the first time by A. S. Mashhour, M. E. Abd El-Monse...
The dynamical system (f,R) is introduced and some of its properties are investigated. It is proven that there is an invariant set Λ on which the periodic points of f are dense.
Let p : M → B be a proper surjective map defined on an (n+ 2)-manifold such that each point-preimage is a copy of a hopfian n-manifold. Then we show that p is an approximate fibration over some dense open subset O of the mod 2 continuity set C′ and C′ \O is locally finite. As an application, we show that a hopfian n-manifold N is a codimension-2 fibrator if χ(N) 6= 0 or H1(N) ∼= Z2.
The aim of this manuscript is to determine the relative size of several functions (copulas, quasi–copulas) that are commonly used in stochastic modeling. It is shown that the class of all quasi–copulas that are (locally) associated to a doubly stochastic signed measure is a set of first category in the class of all quasi–copulas. Moreover, it is proved that copulas are nowhere dense in the clas...
