We extend some known fixed point results for mappings satisfying Kannan type conditions to the context of K-metric spaces. Firstly, we prove a common fixed point result for noncommuting maps. A generalization of Kannan’s fixed point theorem is given in some class of spaces including K-metric spaces.
This paper is devoted to prove the S. L. Singh’s common fixed point Theorem for commuting mappings in cone metric spaces. In this framework, we introduce the notions of generalized Kannan contraction, generalized Zamfirescu contraction and generalized Weak contraction for a pair of mappings, proving afterward fixed point results.
Hop-by-hop inter-domain routing protocols, such as BGP and IDRP, use independent route selection to realize domains’ local policies. A domain chooses its routes based on path attributes present in a route. It is widely believed that these inter-domain routing protocols always converge. We show that there exist domain policies that cause BGP/IDRP to exhibit persistent oscillations. In these osci...
The concept of a generalized metric space, where the triangle inequality has been replaced by a more general one involving four points, has been recently introduced by Branciari. Subsequently, some classical metric fixed point theorems have been transferred to such a space. The aim of this note is to show that Kannan’s fixed point theorem in a generalized metric space is a consequence of the Ba...
In this paper, our focus is to acquaint with the Suzuki-type mappings establish some fixed point results using new w-interpolative approach. We present for interpolative contraction operators via w-admissible maps which satisfy Kannan, ?iri?–Reich–Rus, and Hardy–Rogers contractions in quasi-partial b-metric space. Further, outcomes so obtained are affirmed relevant examples.
The aim of the paper is to study some generalizations of weakly Kannan and weakly Chatterjea-type contractive mappings in the setting of partial metric spaces. Some important outcomes are stated and proved, extending classic fixed point and best proximity point theorems. Examples are given in order to emphasize the utility of the main results.

We give a polynomial time Turing reduction from the γ √ napproximate closest vector problem on a lattice of dimension n to a γapproximate oracle for the shortest vector problem. This is an improvement over a reduction by Kannan, which achieved γn 3
In this paper, the concept of cyclic (φ− ψ)-Kannan and cyclic (φ− ψ)-Chatterjea contractions, and fixed point theorems for these types of mappings in the context of complete metric spaces have been introduced. The results proved here extend some fixed point theorems in the literature.
Abstract The purpose of this paper is to present the notion MR-Kannan type contractions using generalized averaged operator. Several examples are provided illustrate concept presented herein. We provide a characterisation normed spaces with fixed point. investigate Ulam–Hyers stability and well-posedness result for mappings here.
