An acute epididymo-orchitis, followed by a viral arthritis of the left hand, occurred as complications of a mumps vaccination. In the last 17 years 4 certain cases of orchitis following vaccination have been published in Germany. We describe an additional case and discuss the possible consequences. Markus A.
