Background: The modeling of Biological Regulatory Networks (BRNs) relies on background knowledge, deriving either from literature and/or the analysis of biological observations. However, with the development of high-throughput data, there is a growing need for methods that automatically generate admissible models. Methods: Our research aim is to provide a logical approach to infer BRNs based on...

Predicting the virulence of new Influenza strains is an important problem. The solution to this problem will likely require a combination of in vitro and in silico tools that are used iteratively. We describe the agent-based modeling component of this program and report preliminary results from both the in vitro and in silico experiments.

BACKGROUND A 2% to 5% background rate of rare SCN5A nonsynonymous single nucleotide variants (nsSNVs) among healthy individuals confounds clinical genetic testing. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to enhance interpretation of SCN5A nsSNVs for clinical genetic testing using estimated predictive values derived from protein-topology and 7 in silico tools. METHODS AND RESULTS Seven in sil...

?it is of utmost priority for an experienced teacher to train the mind of the students, and enable them to think critically and correctly. the most important question here is that how to develop such a crucial ability? this study examines a new way to the development of critical thinking utilizing critical discourse analytical tools. to attain this goal, two classes of senior english la...

Amelogenin gene (AMEL-X) encodes an enamel protein called amelogenin, which plays a vital role in tooth development. Any mutations in this gene or the associated pathway lead to developmental abnormalities of the tooth. The present study aims to analyze functional missense mutations in AMEL-X genes and derive an association with amelogenesis imperfecta. The information on miss...

globally, brucella melitensis and b. abortus are the most common cause of human brucellosis. the outer membrane protein 31 (omp31) and l7/l12 are immunodominant and protective antigens conserved in human brucella pathogens which are considered as potential vaccine candidates. we aimed to design the fusion protein from brucella l7/l12 and truncated omp31proteins, in silico , clone the fusion in ...

background: bacterial superantigen staphylococcal enterotoxins (ses), has stimulated polyclonal t cells irrespective of their antigen specificity, resulted a massive release of cytokines, and suggested that they could be assigned as a candidate of new antitumor agents. recent attempts have done to specifically target superantigens towards tumors, subsequently monoclonal antibodies and tumor-rel...
