Simultaneous transient conduction and radiation heat transfer with heat generation is investigated. Analysis is carried out for both steady and unsteady situations. two-dimensional gray cylindrical enclosure with an absorbing, emitting, and isotropically scattering medium is considered. Enclosure boundaries are assumed at specified temperatures. The heat generation rate is considered uniform an...
In this paper the interaction of attosecond laser pulses with matter is investigated. The scattering and potential motion of heat carriers as well as the external force are considered. Depending on the ratio of the scatterings and potential motion the heat transport is described by the thermal forced Klein-Gordon or thermal modified telegraph equation. For thermal Heisenberg type relation V τ ∼...
In this paper, the heat balance of an engine was investigated experimentally. The experimental work was conducted on the EF7 natural gas fueled and turbocharged engine. The main goal was to develop an empirical equation to be able to predict the heat balance of the engine at various loads and conditions. The data were collected at four different conditions, two different loads and two differ...
an analytical equation of state by song and mason is developed to calculate the pvt properties ofmercury. the equation of state is based on the statistical-mechanical perturbation theory of hard convexbodies and can be written as a fifth-order polynomial in the density. there exists three temperaturedependentparameters in the equation of state; the second virial coefficient, an effective molecu...
We find a simple inflationary solution in an inhomogeneous spacetime with heat flux. The heat flux obeys a causal transport equation, and counteracts the inflationary decrease of energy density. At late times, the heat flux tends to zero and the fluid approaches the equation of state p = −ρ.
In this paper, we derive a general evolution formula for possible Harnack quantities. As a consequence, we prove several differential Harnack inequalities for positive solutions of backward heat-type equations with potentials (including the conjugate heat equation) under the Ricci flow. We shall also derive Perelman’s Harnack inequality for the fundamental solution of the conjugate heat equatio...
The usual way to model heat conduction is to solve a partial differential equation (PDE) with boundary conditions (BCs), i.e., a boundary value problem (BVP). For the case of steady-state heat conduction in a homogeneous isotropic solid with thermal conductivity independent of temperature and with no heat source inside the solid, temperature T (x, y, z) in the solid verifies Laplace equation [5] :
An inverse source problem for the heat equation is considered. Extraction formulae for information about the time and location when and where the unknown source of the equation firstly appeared are given from a single lateral boundary measurement. New roles of the plane progressive wave solutions or their complex versions for the backward heat equation are given. AMS: 35R30, 80A23
