The combination of graphene and nickel oxide nanoparticles yields nanostructured electrochemical sensor formed a novel kind of structurally uniform and electrocatalytic activity material. In cyclic voltammetry studies, in the presence of epinephrine, nickel oxide / graphene  composite modified electrode shows a significantly higher current response for epinephrine oxidation. Based on differenti...

In this work, we developed a general two-step method to prepare molybdenum carbide (Mo2C) nanoparticles stabilized by a carbon layer on reduced graphene oxide (RGO) sheets. The Mo2C-RGO hybrid showed excellent performance, which is attributed to the intimate interactions between Mo2C and graphene as well as the outer protection of the carbon layer.

We report on a new type of amperometric glucose biosensor that was made by integration of glucose oxidase (GOD) with palladium nanoparticles/reduce graphene oxide (Pd/RGO) nanocomposite. The Pd/RGO was prepared by a onestep reduction method in which the palladium nanoparticles and the reduced graphene oxide (RGO) were simultaneously accomplished from the reduction of dispersed solution of PdCl2...

The mixing of graphene oxide and protonated poly(m-phenylenediamine) (PmPD) nanoparticles generates floccus that can be readily transformed into graphene@PmPD hybrid hydrogel through redox reaction. This macroscopic material can be directly applied as a monolith column adsorbent for water purification.

Traditionally water-ethylene glycol mixture based nanofluids are used in cold regions as a coolant in the car radiators. In the present study, the rheological properties of water-ethylene glycol based graphene oxide nanofluid are studied using Non-Equilibrium Molecular Dynamics (NEMD) method at different temperatures, volume concentrations, and shear rates. NEMD simulations are perfor...

We report an rGO/Fe2O3/SnO2 ternary nanocomposite synthesized via homogeneous precipitation of Fe2O3 nanoparticles onto graphene oxide (GO) followed by reduction of GO with SnCl2. The reduction mechanism of GO with SnCl2 and the effects of reduction temperature and time were examined. Accompanying the reduction of GO, particles of SnO2 were deposited on the GO surface. In the graphene nanocompo...

The objective of this work was to prepare hybrid nanoparticles of graphene sheets decorated with strontium metallic nanoparticles and demonstrate their advantages in bone tissue engineering. Strontium-decorated reduced graphene oxide (RGO_Sr) hybrid nanoparticles were synthesized by the facile reduction of graphene oxide and strontium nitrate. X-ray diffraction, transmission electron microscopy...

A novel clinical glucose biosensor fabricated using functionalized metalloid-polymer (silver-silica coated with polyethylene glycol) hybrid nanoparticles on the surface of a graphene oxide nanosheet is reported. The cyclic voltammetric response of glucose oxidase modification on the surface of a functionalized graphene oxide electrode showed a surface-confined reaction and an effective redox po...

Single layer graphite, known as graphene, is an important material because of its unique two-dimensional structure, high conductivity, excellent electron mobility and high surface area. To explore the more prospective properties of graphene, graphene hybrids have been synthesised, where graphene has been integrated with other important nanoparticles (NPs). These graphene-NP hybrid structures ar...

Reduced graphene oxide/Fe3C hybrids were prepared through Fe-based intercalation of graphite oxide (GtO). Altering pH (acidic to basic) of aqueous GtO dispersion, the immobilization of Fe-based intercalant bearing amino benzoate groups (IFe) was strongly affected following either the nucleophilic substitution (sample: IGO) or ion exchange path (sample: IGO/b). Subsequent pyrolysis of the interc...
