For the high frequency application in mobile communication technology, the operating frequency is over 3GHz, hence the ferromagnetic resonance frequency (fres) of magnetic films must be over 3 GHz. In this study, FeCoHfO alloy is chosen as a promising material system for this application. Inserting an insulator (e.g., AlOx) layer into ferromagnetic layers is a good way to enhance the resistivit...

We present thermoelectric measurements of the heat dissipated due to ferromagnetic resonance of a Permalloy strip. A microwave magnetic field, produced by an on-chip coplanar strip waveguide, is used to drive the magnetization precession. The generated heat is detected via Seebeck measurements on a thermocouple connected to the ferromagnet. The observed resonance peak shape is in agreement with...

A ferrite-dielectric metamaterial composed of dielectric and ferrite cuboids has been investigated by experiments and simulations. By interacting with the electromagnetic wave, the Mie resonance can take place in the dielectric cuboids and the ferromagnetic precession will appear in the ferrite cuboids. The magnetic field distributions show the electric Mie resonance of the dielectric cuboids c...

H. D. Toombs and T. E. Hasty have described a technique utilizing ferromagnetic resonance to obtain nondestructive readout in thin permalloy film memories. 1 A study has been made by the authors to determine how this technique could best be utilized in medium and large sized computer memories. The study culminated in the construction of a 32-word, 24-bit film plane tester utilizing absorption r...

Thinlm structures composed of two kinds of ferromagnetic material metallic Fe and semiconducting (Ga,Mn)As were investigated by means of SQUID magnetometry and ferromagnetic resonance spectroscopy. Dependence of remnant magnetic moment on temperature showed unexpected anisotropic features when recorded along two orthogonal in-plane directions. For one of these orientations, the change in sign o...

We have patterned novel Permalloy thin films with quasicrystalline Penrose P2 tilings and measured their dc magnetization and ferromagnetic resonance absorption. Reproducible anomalies in the hysteretic, low-field data signal a series of abrupt transitions between ordered magnetization textures, culminating in a smooth evolution into a saturated state. Micromagnetic simulations compare well to ...
