in the present paper, we show the existence of a coupled fixed point for a non-decreasing mapping in partially ordered complete metric space using a partial order induced by an appropriate function $phi$. we also define the concept of weakly related mappings on an ordered space. moreover common coupled fixed points for two and three weakly related mappings are also proved in the same space.
We investigate an alternative model of infinitary term rewriting. Instead of a metric, a partial order on terms is employed to formalise (strong) convergence. We compare this partial order convergence of orthogonal term rewriting systems to the usual metric convergence of the corresponding Böhm extensions. The Böhm extension of a term rewriting system contains additional rules to equate so-call...
In this paper, we define expanding mappings in the setting of partial metric spaces analogous to expanding mappings in metric spaces. We also obtain some results for two mappings to the setting of partial metric spaces.
By a metric-like space, as a generalization of a partial metric space, we mean a pair (X ,σ ), where X is a nonempty set and σ : X × X →R satisfies all of the conditions of a metric except that σ (x, x) may be positive for x ∈ X . In this paper, we initiate the fixed point theory in metric-like spaces. As an application, we derive some new fixed point results in partial metric spaces. Our resul...
An extension of the metric space in which distance same point is not always zero called a partial space. Orthogonality relation two perpendicular lines at one intersection forming right angle. There are several ways to define orthogonality, including Pythagorean Orthogonality, Isosceles and Birkhoff-James Orthogonality. The purpose this research study consistency definition orthogonality Based ...
for all x, y Î X, where : R+ ® R+ is a nondecreasing function such that lim n→∞ φ n(t) = 0 for all t > 0. In 1994, Matthews [4] introduced the notion of a partial metric space and obtained a generalization of Banach’s fixed point theorem for partial metric spaces. Recently, Altun et al. [5] (see also Altun and Sadarangani [6]) gave some generalized versions of the fixed point theorem of Matthew...
We show that a finite metric space A admits an extension to a finite metric space B so that each partial isometry of A extends to an isometry of B. We also prove a more precise result on extending a single partial isometry of a finite metric space. Both these results have consequences for the structure of the isometry groups of the rational Urysohn metric space and the Urysohn metric space.
This paper discusses balls in partial b-metric spaces and cone metric spaces, respectively. Let (X ,pb) be a partial b-metric space in the sense of Mustafa et al. For the family of all pb-open balls in (X ,pb), this paper proves that there are x, y ∈ B ∈ such that B′ B for all B′ ∈ , where B and B′ are with centers x and y, respectively. This result shows that is not a base of any topology on X...
