The functional form representation of input-output relationship through Volterra series provides a structured mathematical platform for the study of nonlinear systems. It employs multi-dimensional kernels, which upon convolution with the applied excitation forces, express system response in the form of a power series. Frequency domain transforms of these multi-dimensional kernels provide higher...

in this paper, existence theorems for the fuzzy volterra-fredholm integral equations of mixed type (fvfiemt) involving fuzzy number valued mappings have been investigated. then, by using banach's contraction principle, sufficient conditions for the existence of a unique solution of fvfiemt are given. finally, illustrative examples are presented to validate the obtained results.

It is known that a limit cycle (or periodic coexistence) can occur in a competitor–competitor–mutualist Lotka–Volterra system  ẋ1 = x1(r1 − a11x1 − a12x2 + a13x3), ẋ2 = x2(r2 − a21x1 − a22x2 + a23x3), ẋ3 = x3(r3 + a31x1 + a32x2 − a33x3), where ri , ai j are positive real constants [X. Finite-dimensional discrete-time Volterra models, also called truncated Volterra series expansions or non-recursive polynomial models, are now widely used in various fields of applications. Their usefulness is mainly due to their ability to approximate to an arbitrary accuracy any fading memory nonlinear system, and also to their property of linearity with respect to the parameters, the kernels...

We study a cyclic Lotka-Volterra model of N interacting species populating a d-dimensional lattice. In the realm of a Kirkwood approximation, a critical number of species Nc(d) above which the system fixates is determined analytically. We find Nc = 5, 14, 23 in dimensions d = 1, 2, 3, in remarkably good agreement with simulation results in two dimensions. A cyclic variant of the Lotka-Volterra ...

This paper deals with the existence of traveling wave solutions for m-dimensional delayed lattice dynamical systems with competitive quasimonotone and global interaction. By using Schauder’s fixed point theorem and a cross-iteration scheme, we reduce the existence of traveling wave solutions to the existence of a pair of upper and lower solutions. The general results obtained will be applied to...
