Intracompartmental pressure monitoring remains the primary method of diagnosing chronic compartment syndrome. MIBI perfusion imaging is widely available and oVers a radionuclear imaging technique for diagnosing this condition. Although the results are not identical with those from pressure monitoring, MIBI may oVer a useful screening test for this condition. (Br J Sports Med 1999;33:49–51)

Noninvasive methods for the bacteriological diagnosis of early-stage Mycobacterium ulcerans infection are not available. It was recently shown that fine-needle aspiration (FNA) could be used for diagnosing M. ulcerans infection in ulcerative lesions. We report that FNA is an appropriate sampling method for diagnosing M. ulcerans infection in nonulcerative lesions.

This paper presents a method to diagnose faults in FPGA interconnection resources. A single fault model is given. Under the given model, a diagnosing method is proposed. At most five programming steps in the proposed method is required if adaptive testing scheme is used. For non-adaptive test, eight programming steps is required to diagnose all the possible faults under the given single fault m...

Laparoscopic orchiopexy (LO) was used in place of open surgery in 10 patients for diagnosing cryptorchidism in our department. In this method a large abdominal incision was not given in search of intra-abdominal testes. Anorchia was diagnosed in four patients, which was shown to be bilateral in one. In 1992, I was hired by the State of Oregon as an expert witness in a trial of four chiropractors who had been accused of using a "Toftness-like device" in their practices. The "Toftness Radiation Detector" was an appliance designed by a chiropractor for diagnosing ailments. It consisted of a metal cylinder shaped somewhat like a thick soup can. At one end was a lens; at the other was a smooth ...
