We propose a definition of detectability for nonlinear systems. This definition generalizes naturally the standard property in the linear case, and is consistent with the “input to state stability” approach to controlled stability. We provide a characterization in terms of a dissipation inequality involving storage (Lyapunov) functions.
It is shown that any stabilizing, certainty equivalence control used within an adaptive control system, causes the familiar interconnection of a controlled process and associated output estimator to be detectable through the estimator's output error e p , for every frozen value of the index or parameter vector p upon which both the estimator and controller dynamics depend. The fact that certain...
Objective(s): This study was designed to assess defect detectability in positron emission tomography (PET) imaging of abdominal lesions. Methods: A National Electrical Manufactures Association International Electrotechnical Commission phantom was used. The simulated abdominal lesion was scanned for 10 min using dynamic list-mode acquisition method. Images, acquired with scan duration of 1-10 mi...
<p style='text-indent:20px;'>This technical note presents analytical investigations on detectability of Boolean network with pinning control and injection mode (BNPCIM). Detectability represents the property to uniquely determine current state system according known input-output sequences. Using Cheng product matrices, BNPCIM can be converted into a special algebraic form BCNs mix-valued ...
We study surplus extraction in the general environment of McAfee and Reny (1992), provide two alternative proofs their main theorem. The first is an analogue classic argument Crémer McLean, 1985, 1988, using geometric features set agents' beliefs to construct a menu contracts extracting desired surplus. This argument, which requires finite state space, also leads counterexample showing that ful...
This note is concerned with the stabilization of control systems using an estimated state feedback. The global stabilization problem for a relatively broad class of nonlinear plants is discussed. Moreover, using the “input to state stability” property introduced by Sontag [l-4] and detectability condition, we show that the system citn be globally asymptotically stable using a state detection. @...
