Este estudio es una contribución al conocimiento de las especies picudos presentes en México. Se identificaron ocho tribus, 11 géneros y 20 especies. reportan por primera vez 12 curculiónidos para el estado Chihuahua; tres estas son nuevos registros país: Smicronyx humilis Anderson, Stictobaris pimalis Casey Pandeleteius defectus Green.
