conclusions antipospholipid antibodies based on number of abortions and gestational age of abortions were increased. mean antipospholipid and anticardiolipin antibodies in all patients remained in high level just in first 5 years post abortion and then began to fall. results mean age of participants was 24-39 years old. the average rate of antiphospolipid antibodies in patients with normal anti...

A purification procedure for fish myosin heavy chain is described. The protein was injected into rabbits for production of antibodies. The specificity of the antibodies was determined by immunoblotting. The enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay technique was applied to quantify myosin heavy chain bound to isolated polyribosomes of epaxial muscle from fish.

This report describes the preparation and partial characterization of monoclonal antibodies that are reactive specifically with the nascently produced non-triple helical form of the type IV collagen α1 chain, designated as NTH α1(IV). These antibodies were nonreactive with the α1 chain of the type IV collagen in the triple-helical conformation. Three antibodies, #141, #179 and #370, with differ...

Protein arrays permit the parallel analysis of many different markers in a small sample volume. However, the problem of cross-reactivity limits the degree of multiplexing in parallel sandwich immunoassays (using monoclonal antibodies (mAbs)), meaning antibodies must be prescreened in order to reduce false positives. In contrast, we use a second chip surface for the local application of detectio...

The study of monoclonal antibodies raised against defined hapten epitopes has been a useful approach to understanding antibody repertoire. The situation in which antibodies are raised against different epitopes of the same hapten but have some common recognition or binding features has been less frequently examined. To explore the latter situation, we have characterized three monoclonal antibod...

Antibodies to chicken gizzard myosin, subfragment 1, light chain 20, and light meromyosin were used to visualize myosin in stress fibers of cultured chicken cells. The antibody specificity was tested on purified gizzard proteins and total cell lysates using immunogold silver staining on protein blots. Immunofluorescence on cultured chicken fibroblasts and epithelial cells exhibited a similar st...

Immunotoxins consist of monoclonal or polyclonal antibodies conjugated to bacterial or plant toxins. The toxins used are typically of the A-B type in which a toxic A chain is coupled to a B chain responsible for cell binding and facilitation of A chain entry into the cytosol. Two broad strategies have been followed: coupling intact toxins, or A chains alone, to antibodies. This review examines ...

Finding new methods for generating human monoclonal antibodies is an active research field that is important for both basic and applied sciences, including the development of immunotherapeutics. However, the techniques to identify and produce such antibodies tend to be arduous and sometimes the heavy and light chain pair of the antibodies are dissociated. Here, we describe a relatively simple, ...

A key step to the SARS-CoV-2 infection is attachment of its Spike receptor-binding domain (S RBD) host receptor ACE2. Considerable research has been devoted development neutralizing antibodies, including llama-derived single-chain nanobodies, target motif (RBM) and block ACE2-RBD binding. Simple effective strategies increase potency are desirable for such studies when antibodies only modestly e...
