Ethyl pyruvate (EP), a derivative of pyruvic acid, is known to have protective effects against ischemic cardiomyopathy and other disorders. However, little is known about its role in Adriamycin (ADR)-induced cardiomyopathy. The present study was designed to investigate the impact of EP on ADR-induced cardiomyopathy in an animal model. Sixty male Sprague-Dawley (SD) rats were divided into four g...

We have reported previously that PGE(2) inhibits dendritic cells (DC) functions. Because E prostanoid receptor (EPR) subtypes involved in this action are unknown, expression and functions of these receptors were examined in DC. Western blot and flow cytometry analyses showed that all EPRs were coexpressed in DC. In a dose-dependent manner, lipopolysaccharide (LPS) enhanced EP(2)R/EP(4)R but not...

in this paper we study the impact of minkowski metric matrix on a projection in theminkowski space m along with their basic algebraic and geometric properties.the relationbetween the m-projections and the minkowski inverse of a matrix a in the minkowski spacemis derived. in the remaining portion commutativity of minkowski inverse in minkowski spacem is analyzed in terms of m-projections as an a...

Recent results from searches for physics beyond the Standard Model (SM) in e-proton collisions at HERA at center-of-mass energies of 300 and 320 GeV are presented. They were performed on a data sample collected in the period 1994− 2004 by the H1 and ZEUS collaborations. The data have been analysed searching for leptoquarks, light gravitinos in R-parity violating supersymmetric models and magnet...

The NEMO 3 detector, now operating in the Fréjus Underground Laboratory, is devoted to search for neutrinoless double beta decay ; the expected sensitivity for the effective neutrino mass (< mν >) is on the order of 0.1 eV. The performances of the tracking detector are presented. The first and very preliminary results concerning the background and the double beta signal are given.

Vasodilator prostaglandin PGE(2) protects the kidney from excessive vasoconstriction during contraction of extracellular fluid volume and pathophysiological states. However, it is not yet clear which of the four known E-prostanoid (EP) receptors is localized to resistance vessels and mediates net vasodilation. In the present study, we assessed the presence, signal transduction, and actions of E...

Prostaglandin E(2) (PGE(2)), an important mediator of the inflammatory response, acts centrally to elicit sympathetic excitation. PGE(2) acts on at least four E-class prostanoid (EP) receptors known as EP(1), EP(2), EP(3), and EP(4). Since PGE(2) production within the brain is ubiquitous, the different functions of PGE(2) depend on the expression of these prostanoid receptors in specific brain ...

BACKGROUND AND AIMS Involvement of prostaglandin E(2) (PGE(2)) receptors EP(1), EP(2), and EP(4) in the formation of aberrant crypt foci (ACF) and/or intestinal polyps has been suggested. In contrast, EP(3) appears to have no influence on the early stages of colon carcinogenesis. In the present study, we examined expression of PGE(2) receptor subtypes EP(1), EP(2), EP(3), and EP(4) in normal co...

In this research incidence of ectopic pregnancy (EP) was different from other countries (especially USA, 0.11% Versus 1%) Causes of this difference are non distinguish, abortion, unkonown abortion and the most important thing is problems of sexual contaminations that in Iran is less than other countries. In our research we found out interference of application of IUD, infection, history of prev...
