In this paper, firstly we prove a common fixed point theorem for weakly compatible mappings. Secondly, we peove common fixed point theorems for weakly compatible mappings with E.A. and CLR property in a fuzzy metric space. At the end, we provide an example in support of our theorems. Introduction Sessa [9] generalized the notion of commuting maps given by Jungck [2] and introduced weakly commuting mappings. Further, Jungck [3] introduced more generalized commutativity called compatibility. In 1998, Jungck and Rhoades [4] introduced the notion of weakly compatible maps and showed that compatible maps are weakly compatible but converse need not true. Menger [5] introduced the...
The concept of a 2-metric space is a natural generalization of a metric space. It has been investigated initially by Gähler [4]. Iseki [5] studied the fixed point theorems in 2-metric spaces. Sessa [17] defined weak commutativity and proved common fixed point theorem for weakly commuting maps. In [7] Jungck introduced more generalized commuting mappings, called compatible mappings, which are mo...
In 2008, Al-Thaga and Shahzad [Generalized I-nonexpansive self-maps and invariant approximations, Acta Math. Sinica 24(5) (2008), 867{876]introduced the notion of occasionally weakly compatible mappings (shortly owcmaps) which is more general than all the commutativity concepts. In the presentpaper, we prove common xed point theorems for families of owc maps in Mengerspaces. As applications to ...
In this paper, we prove common fixed point theorems for a pair of weakly compatible maps under E.A .property. A major benefit of property (E.A.) is that it ensures convergence of desired sequences without completeness. At the end we rectify the main result of the paper, entitled “Common fixed points for weakly compatible maps, Proc. Indian Acad. Sci. (Math. Sci.) Vol. 111(2001), No. 2, pp 241-247.
We introduce a new pair of mappings (S,T) on D*-metric spaces called DS*-W.C. and DRS*-W.C. Many examples are presented to show the difference between these other types in literature. Moreover, we obtain several common fixed point results by using (E.A) property. then employ establish existence uniqueness solution for class nonlinear integral equations.
